The surrounding Hunas Falls Hotel located at the base of Hunnasgiriya Mountains is surrounded by the ecstatic rainforests and is a home to a variety of interesting animals and plants.

Shaheen Peak, located on the south side of the hotel, has been home for generations of Shaheen eagles. This is one of the two habitats of these eagles in Sri Lanka. You can reach the top of the mountain in a 2-hour drive from the hotel, once you reach the top, you can see the cities of Kandy and Matale, Hanthana and Knuckles Mountains, Bible Rock, Sri Pada.

Sembuwatta lake is another place that provides scenic views. If you love adventures and hiking, you can reach this place with a six-hour trip (around trip) and see other amazing things along the way. If the long drive doesn't make you easy, you can reach the lake Uwaya in a short 1 hour drive from the hotel.

At the base of the hotel is the Hunnasgiriya waterfall which is a height of 70 meters. The entrance to the waterfall is located 10 minutes from the hotel.
